What is a parade of ponds?Each year, Parade of Ponds, is an opportunity for you to tour some of the most beautiful backyard water gardens in and around Charlotte, during one weekend in the spring, summer or fall. Proceeds from ticket sales are donated to local charities.

This is a great outdoor activity and fun for the whole family as pond owners get a chance to show off the pond they are so proud of and newcomers to the water garden lifestyle get to see what all the excitement is about. Because the backyard is where you will find these neat great treasures, you normally don’t get a chance to see them. Parade of Ponds is your ticket to get a peak. While each water garden has it’s own character, all are beautiful, interesting and unique. Some are larger with bigger boulders, louder waterfalls, or lots of plantings. Others fit into smaller spaces or may be pondless waterfalls, showcasing different design and construction techniques but fun to explore and investigate.
